CHASSIS

The Hydrema 920G is equipped with an articulated chassis that delivers impressive stability and strength. The high-strength steel chassis construction combines lightweight with robustness, ensuring the machine remains stable during both travelling and tipping. With a swing angle of up to +/- 12 degrees, the 920G can easily tackle challenging terrain, making it ideal for demanding applications.

AXLES

This 18 tonne dump truck is equipped with robust axles that are made to handle the most demanding terrains. The front axle has electro-hydraulic suspension and individual levelling for optimal positioning. The rear axle is a heavy-duty bogie axle with reduction gears in the hubs for a simple and maintenance-free design. Together, they deliver a reliable and strong axle solution for the 920G that can handle even the roughest terrain with ease.

ENGINE

Powering the 920G is the impressive Cummins B 6,7 liters 6-cylinder Stage 5 engine. This advanced engine is equipped with DOC, DPF and SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue addition to meet the strictest emission standards. With 24 valves, common-rail turbo diesel technology, intercooler and an electronic variable turbocharger, this engine delivers impressive performance. It produces a maximum power output of 231 kW (314 hp) at 2200 rpm and a maximum torque of 1288 Nm at 1500 rpm. This powerful engine drives the 920G with ease and efficiency in the most demanding situations.

ENGINE

The Hydrema 920G, like the rest of the 922G series, is equipped with a powerful Cummins engine that delivers reliable power to handle the most challenging terrains. The engine is a 6-cylinder Stage 5 diesel engine with an impressive power output of 231 kW (314 Hp) at 2200 rpm and a maximum torque of 1288 Nm at 1500 rpm. This gives the 920G the power needed to tackle heavy earthmoving tasks.

The transmission in the Hydrema 920G is a ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission with 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. It is equipped with 100% lock-up in all gears and also features a manually operated differential lock between the front and rear axles. This allows the operator to choose between automatic or manual gear shifting, providing flexibility in different work situations.

Together with the 920 mm wide tyres and the record low ground pressure of only 85 kPa fully loaded, the Hydrema 920G is optimally designed for working in soft terrain and earthmoving applications where traction and performance are crucial for success.

BRAKES / RETARDER

The Hydrema 920G delivers impressive braking and retarding capabilities, ensuring safety and control in all conditions. With a full 2-circuit braking system and oil bath disc brakes on all 6 wheels, reliable stopping power and performance is achieved. For added safety, there's a Fail Safe handbrake on the front axle. These brakes are not only highly effective, but also maintenance-free, saving time and costs. To improve vehicle performance and speed control, there is also a manually operated retarder that combines the engine brake and a hydraulic retarder. This advanced system provides a maximum retarder output of 300 kW or 405 hp, contributing to safe and precise braking of the Hydrema 920G in a variety of conditions.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The Hydrema 920G has an advanced hydraulic system with 5 pumps for precise control of brakes, stabiliser, differential lock, suspension, articulation, tipping, retarder and emergency steering. This ensures maximum performance and accuracy in every situation.
Pump 1: 31 l/min constant pump for brake, stabiliser, differential lock and suspension.
Pump 2: 189 l/min variable pump: for articulated steering.
Pump 3: 195 l/min constant pump for tipping and retarder.
Pump 4: 195 l/min constant pump for extra retarder performance.
Pump 5: 64 l/min constant pump for emergency steering (wheel drive).

TRANSMISSION

The 920G is equipped with a ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission that offers 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. It has a 100% lock-up function in all gears and the option to manually activate the differential lock between the front and rear axles. This gives the driver full control of the vehicle and ensures optimal performance in different situations. With an impressive maximum speed of 50 km/h in forward and 31 km/h in reverse and a maximum traction of 223 KN, the Hydrema 920G is ready to tackle any challenge with ease.

STEERING

This dump truck is equipped with a servo-activated hydrostatic steering system that ensures exceptional precision and manoeuvrability. With a separate variable pump dedicated to the steering function, the operator can achieve a maximum steering angle of +/- 38°, making it easy to manoeuvre in even the most demanding terrain. The steering in the Hydrema 920G is designed to deliver a smooth and responsive driving experience, making work more efficient and comfortable.
