CHASSIS

The 922HM features an articulated chassis with an advanced pendulum rod and dual hydraulic stabilisers in the articulated pivot point. These two stabilisers work together to deliver exceptional stability both when driving and tipping. The chassis construction is made from high-strength steel, ensuring maximum strength while maintaining a low kerb weight. The tilt angle can be adjusted up to +/- 12 degrees, providing versatility and efficiency in any work situation.

AXLES

The front axle is equipped with electro-hydraulic suspension and individual levelling on each side, which adapts the machine to the optimal position. In addition, the front axle has a standard differential lock with 75% locking action. The rear axle is a heavy-duty bogie axle with reduction gears in the hubs for simple and maintenance-free operation. It also has a large swing angle, which contributes to the machine's agility and performance in different working conditions.

ENGINE

The impressive engine in the 922HM is a Cummins B 6.7 litre 6-cylinder Stage 5 engine. It is equipped with advanced technologies such as DOC, DPF and SCR catalyst with AdBlue addition, ensuring not only compliance with emission standards but also maximum performance. This engine is a 24-valve common-rail turbodiesel with intercooler and electronically variable turbocharger. It delivers a remarkable maximum power output of 231 kW / 314 hp at 2200 rpm and an impressive torque of 1288 Nm at 1500 rpm. A powerful engine ready to tackle any challenge.

ENGINE

The Hydrema 922HM is equipped with a ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission that has 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. The transmission is equipped with 100% lock-up in all gears and has a manually operated differential lock between the front and rear axles. It allows for both automatic and manual gear shifting. The maximum speed of the machine is 50 km/h in forward direction and 31 km/h in reverse, and it has an impressive maximum tractive effort of 223 kN.

BRAKES / RETARDER

This 20 tonne dump truck is equipped with a full 2-circuit braking system that includes oil immersed disc brakes on all 6 wheels. This system provides reliable braking power and is maintenance-free, so you can work worry-free. For additional safety, the machine has a Fail Safe handbrake on the front axle. And when it comes to controlling your speed downhill, you have a manually operated retarder at your disposal. The retarder is a smart combination of engine brake and hydraulic retarder that delivers an impressive maximum retarder output of 300 kW / 405 hp. So you can brake safely and effectively in any situation.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The 922HM from Hydrema is equipped with an advanced hydraulic system with no less than 5 hydraulic pumps working in perfect harmony:
Pump 1: 31 l/min constant pump for brake, stabiliser, differential lock and suspension.
Pump 2: 189 l/min variable pump: for articulated steering.
Pump 3: 195 l/min constant pump for tipping and retarder.
Pump 4: 195 l/min constant pump for extra retarder performance.
Pump 5: 64 l/min constant pump for emergency steering (wheel drive).

TRANSMISSION

This dumper is equipped with an impressive ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission with 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. It's not just a regular transmission - it has 100% lock-up in all gears, ensuring an efficient and smooth power transfer.

STEERING

The steering on the 922HM is a pure pleasure. With servo-activated hydrostatic steering, you get precise and easy operation. A separate variable pump for the steering function ensures you're always in full control. The dump truck has a maximum steering angle of +/- 38°, allowing you to manoeuvre safely and precisely, even in tight working situations.
