EXCAVATOR

The Hydrema MX16G introduces a revolution in excavators with its innovatively designed two-piece boom, a standard feature on all models. A fusion of robustness and accuracy, this boom is made from high-strength steel and is available in 2.0m, 2.5m and 3.0m variants to meet your unique requirements. The MX16G especially shines when it comes to ease of use and versatility, thanks to its hydraulic quick-change system and the option to add a tiltrotator as an optional accessory. These features make it effortless to switch between different attachments, which significantly increases efficiency. Whatever the nature of the job, the MX16G guarantees you the versatility and power needed to complete the job with maximum efficiency.

AXLES

This wheeled excavator is equipped with state-of-the-art ZF axles that amplify the machine's performance in demanding conditions. Thanks to the planetary reduction in the wheel hubs, the MX16G achieves superior torque and precision control, making delicate tasks seamless. Furthermore, each axle is equipped with integrated brakes, resulting in excellent digging brake capacity. The front axle of the MX16G is specially designed with a centre bolt and pendulum lock, allowing a pendulum angle of +/- 8º. This provides increased stability and agility, especially on uneven surfaces.

AXLES

At the heart of the Hydrema MX16G is its impressive Cummins B 4.5 L Stage 5 engine. A true powerhouse, this engine is equipped with a 16-valve Common-Rail Turbodiesel system and advanced technology that takes its performance to new heights. This engine is capable of 175 horsepower and has a maximum torque of 780 Nm. This power package ensures that the MX16G handles even the most challenging tasks with ease, and its efficiency is unquestionable even in the most demanding environments. The engine design includes a large fuel tank and AdBlue system, which together ensure economical operation and compliance with the latest environmental standards.

The MX16G also shines with its advanced hydrostatic transmission, which ensures all-wheel drive at all times. Developed with both a smooth ride and responsive handling in mind, this transmission incorporates an electronically controlled drive motor and a two-speed soft-shift Powershift system. This allows a choice between manual and automatic gear changes, giving the operator full control to adjust the driving characteristics to the demands of the terrain. With adaptable gear speeds to suit both on-road and off-road driving, the MX16G achieves a perfect combination of power and fine-tuning.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The Hydrema MX16G's hydraulic system, with its dual-circuit Load Sensing technology and a separate high-pressure bending system, ensures precise and economical operation. The system, equipped with electronic power regulation and intelligent Mode Control, allows fine-tuning of work and fuel efficiency via ECO Mode. With up to three adjustable hydraulic circuits, the MX16G offers simple in-cab customisation for different attachments, optimising task switching and maximising productivity.

ENGINE

The MX16G features an impressive Cummins B 4.5 L Stage 5 engine, a perfect fusion of environmental awareness and powerful specifications. This engine is equipped with a comprehensive emission control system, consisting of DOC, DPF and SCR with AdBlue, which effectively reduces emissions to meet the strictest environmental requirements. Equipped with a 16-valve Common-Rail Turbo Diesel system and an intercooler, the engine produces up to 175 hp and a maximum torque of 780 Nm. The Hydrema MX16G is designed with efficiency and sustainability in mind, with a large 280-litre fuel tank and a 31.5-litre AdBlue tank, minimising refuelling needs and maximising uptime.

DRIVING HYDRAULICS & TRANSMISSION

This excavator excels with its hydrostatic transmission and constant four-wheel drive, which ensures consistent and smooth power transfer in all conditions. Its electronically controlled drive motor allows for precise speed adjustment, while the innovative two-speed soft-shift Powershift transmission allows for switching between manual and automatic gear selection. This model maintains its performance and efficiency even when loaded with additional equipment such as outriggers or heavy attachments, cementing its position as a highly versatile wheeled excavator.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Equipped with a powerful 24V electrical system, including a 70 Amp alternator and two robust 12V, 100Ah batteries, the MX16G ensures a constant and reliable energy supply. Its electrical system is enhanced with extra protected wiring and uses only waterproof connectors, extending its lifespan and guaranteeing flawless operation. Easy access to fuses and relays at the cabin makes quick inspections and maintenance convenient. The MX16G also includes an electrical emergency operation function for increased safety, which kicks in, in the event of a failure in primary systems, as well as an automatic circuit breaker that protects the machine and simplifies the maintenance process.
